"THE STARS ABOVE THE HILL"
The Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Judy Monson, will present this 25th season concert at 7:30pm in the Sarah Winnemucca Hall. This will be in the Aspen Building at Western Nevada College, 2201 W. College Parkway. The program includes sacred and secular works and features the world premier of David Dickau's "The Stars Above The Hill" conducted by the composer. CINCO DE MAYO
Forget what you thought you knew and learn the true history of Cinco de Mayo at the Brewery Arts Center. The BAC, Nevada Artist Association Gallery and the Artisans Cafe and Gift Show will present a day of good, fun and fiesta.This event features the art and poetry of New Mexico artist Santiago Chavez. MCKEEN MOTOR CAR
A 200 horse power steel gasoline motor car will make it's debu at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. This will be a celebration of the completion of the historic McKeen Motor Car #22. It has been a decade-long restoration and the Hundreth year anniversary of its arrival in Carson City. First day commerative tickets. Adults $10, Children $5.00. COCOCUTS FOR KIDS LUAU AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION
Food for Thought provides weekend food for up to 700 hungry and in-need children in northern Nevada. This event, from 4-7 PM, is our spring fundraiser. The theme is Hawaiian. There will be live and silent auctions, great food, and entertainment. Tickets will be available at the CC Chamber at Food for Thought beginning in early March. Join Carson City Symphony's Strings in the Schools students in a public Contradance, 3:00-4:00 p.m., at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive. Learn the steps to the jig, reel, and waltz. ALICE IN DANCE WONDERLAND
Ayako's Dance Studio dancers will perform in "Alice in Dance Wonderland" on May 28, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at the Carson City Community Center, Bob Boldrick Theater. This production is sponsored by the Pinkerton Ballet Theatre, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enable children to experience and enjoy the performing arts.
