Each October, Nevadans turn their attention to Carson City, Nevada's state capitol, home of the Nevada Day Parade. It's our annual coming together to celebrate our heritage and the founding of our great state! Now, more than 60 years old--Nevada Day and it's many activities including the Parade, music and arts shows, RSVP Carnival, 1864 Grand Ball, Nevada Day Music and Heritage Festival, Pancake Breakfast, Nevada Day Classic Run/Walk, 33rd Annual World Championship Rock Drilling Contest, Beard Contest, and post-parade musical performances by local bands.
