ELAPSED IN TIME EXHIBITION AT CCAI COURTHOUSE GALLERY
The Capital City Arts Initiative’s print exhibition, "Elapsed in Time", by artist Jenny Robinson continues at the CCAI Courthouse Gallery through May 18, 2012. Media artist and writer, Chris Lanier, wrote the exhibition essay that is available in the gallery. The Courthouse is located at 885 East Musser Street, Carson City and is open M - F, 8am - 5pm. THE STATUES OF SARAH WINEMUCCA
Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Native-American elder Curt Harnar hosts the video "Exploring Nevada - Sarah Winemucca" detailing the construction of her statues, which were placed in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Congress and in the foyer of the Nevada State Capitol. LATIN MUSIC WORKSHOP & FREE CONCERT
Carson City Symphony's Strings in the Schools will hold a Latin Music Workshop and concert at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive, Carson City. Led by Symphony Education Director Sue Jesch and guest percussionists Liz White, Kevin Conlin, and Gerald Larson from the University of Nevada, Reno, the workshop is open to string players of all ages at no cost.
